Volunteers needed!
We're currently looking for volunteers to join us in the following roles.

TRUSTEE
Our current Board comprises five members, each of whom bring a wealth of experience to the Charity and we are now seeking to further strengthen the team with an individual who understands the governance role of a Trustee, particularly those who have previously held a Board level role with experience in finance, fund raising or charity law. Board members have a collective responsibility, so it is important that Trustees always act as a cohesive group and not as individuals. You should be willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and broaden the diversity of thinking on our board.
We are a small Charity and Trustees may need to be actively involved beyond Board meetings. This may involve leading discussions, focusing on key issues, providing advice and guidance on new initiatives, presenting externally, or other issues in which the Trustee has special expertise.
To apply, please send a covering letter and a CV of no more than 2 pages

FRONT OF HOUSE
Could you be the welcoming face of the Museum, helping the thousands of visitors we have each year. You'll be selling entry tickets, memberships , explaining what there is to see as well as being the helpful point for any questions.

COFFEE SHOP ASSISTANTS
Visitors can enjoy a range of light refreshments in our Museum Coffee Shop . We currently need additional cheerful volunteers to help serve our customers on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday and also, on event days throughout the year.
Why
Volunteer?
Many of our volunteers spend their time here for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience, but for most it's a place where long standing friendships are formed. When volunteering with us there are plenty of opportunities.
What to
Expect
Gatwick Aviation Museum runs many aviation related projects, including aircraft restoration, exhibit curation, educational workshops, front of house, shop sales, events, tours and ever expanding site development plans, all of which is only possible through receiving on-going support from our Volunteers. Without this vital support, our important charity work would not be possible.
